When ‘The Big Bang Theory’ creator and ‘Saturday Night Live’ alum David Cross said that he thinks ‘Weeds’ writer and ‘Scandal’ star Josh Charles “is not a good actor,” it made it clear he wasn’t the only one who thought that way.
On Saturday night, the “Saturday Night Magic” creator and “SNL” alum said on his podcast that he believes Charles “just needs to go to hell” and not “have the good life.”
He also said that Charles should just be grateful he’s not a villain.
“I mean, the guy’s not even supposed to be in the film,” he said.
“He’s not supposed to kill anybody.
He’s not in there.
So, it’s like, what are you, like, supposed to do?”
Charles has been accused of rape multiple times, but has denied those claims.
The comedian said that it’s possible he didn’t read Cross’s comments because he’s just trying to avoid spoilers for his upcoming film.
“It’s funny, man, because you could probably read this and go, ‘Oh my God, you know, I have no idea what he’s talking about,'” Charles said.
“‘It’s really hard to know what he just said, and I don’t think I’m supposed to know.’
I mean, I just don’t know.
But I can’t even think about it.”
The ‘Saturday Live’ star also said on Saturday that he was a fan of “Weeds” for decades.
“You know, the thing about ‘Weed’ is, I’ve always thought it was funny, and that’s all I cared about, because that’s what the characters were doing,” he told “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert.
“The whole thing, ‘What do you do when you’re in a situation like this?'”
“We’re supposed to feel like, ‘We’re going to save ourselves,'” he continued.
“That’s the whole thing.
But the characters just need to feel that they’re saving themselves, and then they’re doing it.
So that’s why I think he’s so good, is that he’s doing it on purpose.
I mean he doesn’t need to save himself.
It’s so selfless and so brave.””
The Big Buzz,” which opens in theaters on Sept. 15, is based on Charles’ memoir, “The Last Man on Earth.”
