A native of Phoenix, Cathleen is the principal and expert behind the creative science of mm (identity lab). She applies her extensive experience and an uncommon skill set—analytical and informed business focus combined with introspective and instinctual creative savvy—to all client projects.
Cathleen received her BFA from the University of Arizona in 1989 and worked as a designer at Richardson or Richardson in Phoenix before moving to Tokyo in 1990 to work with their associate office, White Communications.
In 1991 Cathleen settled in New York and established McRoberts Mitchell (MM) in 1994, which became known in Manhattan’s fiercely competitive marketing communications industry by its “Dream Makers, Rainmakers” mantra. Focusing on strategic design, copywriting and marketing communication services, MM grew to represent hundreds of clients nationwide.
Responding to client demands for a leaner and more versatile service delivery model, Cathleen reacted by streamlining. She moved MM’s headquarters to Phoenix in 2008, and launched mm (identity lab) in May of 2009.
